But what is healthy sleep? Is it
possible with the busy schedules of the modern life? To my
opinion, it is possible when:
-you devote enough time to sleep
(of course!). It is a fact that an average person should
sleep 7-8 hours a day. However, I think you could get away
with 6 hours if necessary. Some researchers say that
according to our biological rhythms, the best time to sleep
is between 11pm and 5 am; and it is absolutely necessary to
sleep between 2 am and 4 am because these are the hours of
the deepest sleep.
-Do not eat right before
going to bed. It is not even about the calories. If you load
your stomach before sleep, it will not get any rest at
night. If you are hungry late, eat at least 2 hours before
bed and choose light foods like fruit, vegetables, yoghurts,
etc.
-It is important to sleep on
cotton sheets (or other natural material). Natural fabrics
let our body and skin breathe at night.
-Keep air in your bedroom
fresh.
-Relax before going to bed.
Boring but useful! A hot bath or shower, a cup of mint tea,
a relaxing massage or great sex will work perfectly. They
all bring lots of positive emotions and tune your body into
the rest mode.
Sleep well and stay young and
beautiful longer!
